Explore the Ria d'Etel by electric bike. Via Erdeven, cycle along the beaches, reach Barre d'Etel, and continue up to Saint-Cado and Belz.
The stages of your journey:
1️⃣ Station Bees → Erdeven
After a little over 1 km from the station, you pick up the V45, also called La Littorale, which you follow around Ploemel. You pass near the Mané Bogad park where you can enjoy a first refreshing break. You then continue to the village of Erdeven through the undergrowth and small paths, then join the D105. Don't hesitate to stop to visit the site of the Kerzerho alignments, 2nd most important megalithic site after Carnac.
2️⃣ Erdeven → Etel
You continue your walk by heading towards the sea, either by following the Coastline (signposted and recommended route) or by taking the municipal road which passes near the Plouharnel mill and the Saint-Guillaume chapel. In both cases, you reach Kerhillio beach where you begin the climb towards the Etel bar along the dunes and the sea and riding on sometimes tricky sandy paths. You have a choice of countless viewpoints all along this passage but it is essential to stop at the end of Kerminihy beach to admire the Etel bar, its strong currents and its strip of sand which evolves to the rhythm of these. After this good breath of sea air, you take the road which takes you to the village ofEtel and its sheltered port within the Ria. You have earned the right to refresh yourself, to eat and to enjoy yourself before tackling the second part of the route.
3️⃣ Etel → Saint-Cado
You're already off again, starting with a small bump after the port that reminds you that not everything is flat around here. You pass near the CROSS-A Etel, which is responsible for sea rescue from the tip of Brittany to the Spanish border. You then cross the Sach River near the mill of the same name, then reach the Bignac mill , where you have to dismount to cross the footbridge. You are now heading towards the Larmor sector where you can find something to taste like good oysters raised in the Ria. You then go back up towards theLorois bridge which is the only bridge allowing you to cross the Ria and thus reach the West coast and the Lorient region without having to go around the river and its meanders. You have now arrived at Saint-Cado , a tourist hotspot with its emblematic house with blue shutters perched on the rocky islet from Nichtarguer. Get off your bike and enjoy the narrow streets of the island of Saint Cado by walking around it.
4️⃣ Saint Cado → Station Bees
After this walking trip, you resume your journey towards the village of Belz which you cross to join bucolic paths and roads which take you to the outskirts of the Golf de Saint-Laurent , Dean of the golf courses of Morbihan and which celebrates its 50th anniversary in this year 2025. Arriving at the Chapelle Saint Laurent, you join a path which takes you straight (or almost) to the village of Locmiquel where you find the route of the Coastline which you took during the 1st stage. You still have to cover the ten kilometers already taken in the other direction to find your starting point in the area of Toul Garros.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
