Set off on an electric bike to discover the chapels, alignments of megaliths, the many beaches and the unmissable ports of Quiberon Bay.
The stages of your journey:
1️⃣ Bees Station → Saint-Colomban (Carnac)
After a little over 1 km from the station, you rejoin the V45, also called La Littorale, which you follow around Ploemel. You then leave this cycle path to reach the village of Hahon where the first of the chapels of the day awaits you, that of St-Albin for a well-deserved first break.
From there, you dive towards the emblematic sites of the walk, the alignments of Carnac , the largest megalithic complex in the world with its 3000 menhirs , erected more than 7000 years ago and a source of tales, legends and stories. You can visit the House of Megaliths where various paid tours are offered allowing you to discover the history of this unique site.
Then head towards the sea and the village of St-Colomban , with its traditional Breton architecture, its 16th century chapel located in the centre of the hamlet, its fountain with healing water for madness, its oyster farmers established in the cove of the Pô where you can taste and appreciate the seafood they produce, and its large white sand beach where you can admire the view over the bay of Quiberon, with your feet in the water.
2️⃣ Saint-Colomban – Carnac Beach - La Trinité-sur-Mer
You're off to follow the bay and discover the many beaches of Carnac : Ty Bihan, Légenèse, La Grande Plage, Beaumer ... You can enjoy the sea and the dunes on one side and the pretty villas on the seafront on the other.
The exit from Carnac coincides with the entrance to La Trinité sur Mer via the village of Men Du and the beach of the same name.
At low tide, you might be lucky enough to walk along the tombolo of Stuhan Island ... but be careful not to get trapped by the rising tide!https://
You continue like this to the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer , a mecca for sailing and boating, where you stroll between certain monohulls and multihulls.majestic ocean racing and the many pleasure boats .
Some will take the opportunity to linger in the old port on the terrace of one of the many cafes or restaurants ready to welcome you.
3️⃣ La Trinité - Saint-Philibert – Bees Station
You then overlook it via the Kerisper bridge which spans the Crac'h river to take you towards St-Philibert along the Kernevest beach and the Keryondre point, then going back up along the Saint-Philibert river to the chapel of the same name and its wooded park where you can take another well-deserved break.
On leaving Saint-Philibert, those with a sweet tooth will take a detour via the D781 and the D28 to enjoy the Biscuiterie la Trinitaine factory outlet. and stock up on Breton cakes and biscuits.
The end of the route takes you between small roads and the paths of the Alré countryside, reaching the village of Crac'h and then taking advantage of the many undergrowths to quietly join the road from Auray to Quiberon before returning to your starting point in the Toul Garros area.
