Presentation

Set off by electric bike to explore the banks, ports and islands of the Gulf of Morbihan, then return to the port of Saint-Goustan and the town of Auray

The stages of your journey:

1️⃣ Bees Station → 7 Islands Beach (Baden)
After a little over 1 km from the station, you pick up the V45, also called La Littorale , which you follow towards Auray.

After crossing the town, you head towards Le Bono which you will reach after a few kilometers by taking the old suspension bridge which overlooks the river and the port where you might see the Forban du Bono , an emblematic boat of local fishing.

You continue along the coastline until you reach the entrance to the town of Baden . By turning right at Le Govello, you take the road that goes around the Baden golf course and its 18 holes and overlooks the Auray river . Don't miss a short detour to the port of Parun and the Bascatique viewpoint. You continue along the Auray river which takes you to the other side of the town to reach the 7 Iles beach. (a unique island despite its name) on the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan . If you arrive at low tide, you can take the tombolo to access it and walk around it, ON FOOT. Be careful not to get trapped by the rising tide and the strong currents that accompany it.

2️⃣ Baden → Le Bono
After a well-deserved break on the edge of the Gulf, you follow it to reach Larmor-Baden . From its port, you can visit the megalithic island of Gavrinis (15-minute crossing and 1.5 hours of guided tour on site). Simpler and more affordable, you can walk around Berder Island provided that the tombolo allowing access to it is exposed and taking care not to get trapped by the rising tide.

For the more courageous, going up along the Gulf, you reach the Port-Blanc pier, allowing you after a 5 minute crossing to reach Ile aux Moines , the largest of the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan which you can explore by bike before returning to the continent by the same route.

You then return to the coast to reach Baden and return to Bono , following part of the path taken a little earlier in the other direction.

And what could be better than a well-deserved break in the village or near the port before tackling the final stage of this picturesque route.

3️⃣ Le Bono → Saint-Goustan → Station Bees
You're now ready to head to Auray , which you'll reach via the cycle path along the D101. You'll leave the V45 to head to a must-see in the region, the Port of Saint Goustan . You can stroll through its narrow, cobbled streets and discover the place where Benjamin Franklin landed in 1776 to gain support from France during the American War of Independence.

If you're not yet tired, enjoy the town centre of Auray , its shopping streets and welcoming squares before joining the path that will take you back to your starting point in the Toul Garros area.
